Pickleball’s meteoric rise is undeniable, and The Fort is its newest crown jewel. Nestled within the 93-acre Snyder Park near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, this state-of-the-art racquet sports complex is making waves in the pickleball community. With seating for nearly 2,000 spectators, 14 covered courts, and dozens more outdoor courts—including a pink breast-cancer-awareness court—The Fort is a pickleball haven.
Co-founded by Brad Tuckman and Rich Campillo, the venue has already hosted its first major event, the Humana APP Fort Lauderdale Open, drawing 1,200 players and thousands of fans. “We want the Fort to truly be for the entire pickleball community,” says Tuckman.
Memberships, ranging from $69 to $139 monthly, offer perks like open play sessions and league access, though non-members can still book courts starting at $15 per hour. The Fort also promises free clinics, community events, and world-class teaching pros to make the sport accessible to all.
With its fully stocked pro shop, friendly staff, and plans for food and beverage amenities, The Fort is more than a venue—it’s a pickleball destination.
