The Miami Heat have suspended Jimmy Butler indefinitely without pay, citing “a continued pattern of disregard for team rules, engaging in conduct detrimental to the team, and intentionally withholding services.” This latest suspension follows Butler walking out of shootaround on Monday after learning he’d be coming off the bench.
This marks Butler’s third suspension in January alone. Earlier this month, he missed seven games due to similar conduct. Last week, he was suspended again for skipping a team flight. The Heat have stated they’re exploring trade options ahead of the Feb. 6 deadline.
With this indefinite suspension, it’s clear that Butler’s time with the Miami Heat has come to an end.
